Nordic Walking Poles and Activator Urban Poles


Nordic walking poles provide accessible, fun and physical recreational activity for those with balance and mobility issues. Nordic walking has been proven to be beneficial to a wide range of neurological conditions including Parkinson Disease, multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injury and stroke. People with imbalance, decreased confidence walking outside and upper or lower body weakness will also find benefit. Weight bearing activity, core muscles strengthening and attention to posture are common fall prevention strategies. Recent research shows that Nordic walking targets all three of these areas. 

Not only will a regular program of pole walking strengthen the core muscles, arms and legs, but it provides extra stability encouraging people to walk confidently with proper gait. Walking with poles also encourages a strong, upright posture.
